Campus Ministry - Emmaus Team Commissioned to Serve Posted Oct. 2, 2008
Sixteen St. Edmund Prep students were commissioned as the 2008-2009 Emmaus Team as part of their Team Retreat held on the weekend of September 12th - 14th.

Our annual training weekend took place at Ten Mile River Scout Camp in Narrowsburg, New York. The weekend was spent intensively preparing for their important leadership roles. The Team developed skills in small group facilitation, leading group prayer, and speaking in front of the retreat group. The weekend was also a great way to come together to have fun, enjoy the beautiful scenery and come together united to do the Lord's work.

The Emmaus Retreat is a voluntary retreat program offered to all juniors and seniors at St. Edmund Prep. The three day program takes place at Mount Paul Retreat House in Oak Ridge, New Jersey. Emmaus Retreats are conducted by our trained student leaders under the direction of our faculty. For More Information about the Emmaus Retreat click the "More Information" link below.

Many interesting and valuable ideas were presented by the Candidates. As a Student Council we are dedicated to addressing the needs of the Community – as well as the Community of the World.

Many candidates expressed great regard for the “Prep” and are looking to give back to the school for all we have been given. Fund raisers for new sports equipment were mentioned and in particular - weight room equipment. The Sports Center, established a few years ago was mentioned as a way of recognizing our athletes. The “Five Days of Christmas” was suggested. Students can buy candy canes and have them sent to students and teachers. These and many more ideas were promulgated by the very excellent candidates.
